Technology completely changed the way we waited and we grew up too fast. The simple things in life seems more meaningful now. We grew up in the age of transition and have become the generation of nostalgia.”
I thought that this was particularly interesting as I think I agree, I was born in the last 1990's and have often found myself looking at what might have been if certain things had not been invented or had. I know many people that in my opinion have grown up too fast, me being one of them from dealing with family issues and illnesses, I have discovered a lot and learnt more than I would have had I been born earlier. Call me old fashioned but I don't understand why teenagers can't be just that - teenagers. Instead we constantly have to prove ourselves to others as being more mature and sophisticated than we really are, and lets face it, it's pretty tiring. Always planning for tomorrow but never living in today. As I get older I start to appreciate the simpler things in life, going to the beach with my friends or grabbing a coffee with my various family members. I often wonder what life would be like had I been born in other time under different circumstances however I am a big believer in whats meant to happen will happen. I strongly believe that we are who we are and why we're here is a mystery that God or whoever you believe in as being the "creator" knows and he/she/it will reveal it in it's due time.
